
Property sales and prices rise again in Costa Blanca
So a new year begins and yet again there is no slowdown in the Spanish property market as it continues to recover year after year and especially in the province of Alicante. The data of records that show the number of sales has been released only this week by the government statistics department regarding property sales of new build and resale in the whole of Spain. The latest figures show from the beginning of the year of 2017 and just using the month of November as an example the number of sales of residential properties just in the region of the Costa Blanca has risen to a high of over 3,200 sales. This shows a very steady and ever-increasing growth rate of approx. 26% over the same month of the previous year of 2016. Calculating from the beginning of the year of 2017 up until the month of November the growth rate of sales is now at around approx. 32,000 for an eleven month period, which shows more or less an increase of approx. 15% more than the same month of the past year. Overall residential property sales figures shown from these results are that the region of Alicante has a significant rise of approx. 70% over the past 6 years and also since the market collapsed in 2008.
In regards to Spain and it´s 17 municipal regions, the most signs of growth are in the areas of Andalucía, Aragón and also Castilla-La Mancha, these areas show a rise and results of about approx. 24%. As results show there has been an increase in sales over the last ten years in a row, with significant results to prove the approx. 18% rise in sales with an overall of 40,000 registered sales total. The area of Alicante is having a massive upturn of resale and also new build properties which are outstripping demand all over the region. The data results show over a period of 12 months the sales have increased to approx. 14% with results from 2014 that reached 300.000 and the new figures shown so far have reached 460.000 which alone speaks for itself. The Spanish housing market is on the move with many potential buyers from overseas especially Europeans looking for a holiday home or a place to call home as many of them feel this is the right time to relocate and make a New Start in Spain. With so much to offer beach's, food, drinks it´s laid back lifestyle and of course the 320 days of glorious sunshine. With flight from all over Europe arriving daily and with just a short flight of between 2 hours to 2.30 hours from the UK, buyers are coming to reap the benefits of living in Spain.
