BIG LEAP IN TOURISM
Tourism in Spain will be having another record-breaking year in 2016. Around the globe, Spain is drawing in many visitors who holiday in European hotspots, and whilst here purchase their very own Spanish possessions. The latest information from a recent poll investment shows the growth strategy between tourist visits and house sales.
The number of tourists now arriving in Spain is being made aware of what there is to offer. The poll has predicted that house sales for 2016 will rise this year by 11% in comparison to last year. It has been calculated that in August 2016, more than 10 million visitors arrived in Spain, according to the National Statistics Institute a 5.8% increase from the same month last year showing a demand for overseas buyers to purchase. Property registrars are showing at the beginning of 2016 17.5% of property bought was by foreign investors. In Q2 a record high was nearly reached by foreign buyers reaching 13.4%, British buyers came out as the largest group of foreign buyers at 20%.
Spain has now become a very popular holiday place to visit, and with visitors falling in love with the country and its attributes, more permanent positions are been obtained. Spain is known as a short-haul destination and therefore ideal for a second holiday home with the growing popularity of shorter visits to Spain, the holiday market will grow strength to strength, with the ease of short-haul flights, Spanish culture, and sunshine allowing buyers to take the greatest advantage all year round. We here at Newstart have definitely seen an increase in foreign visitors, for long weekends as well as a long-term holiday.
